The 2019 Annual conference in Lake Placid will be an amazing event! In addition to the regular programming of the conferences there are several special programming elements to mention, they are below followed by the agenda.
Full day of PRO ACADEMY will be on the first day of the conference where participants will complete the online PRO ACADEMY session before arriving. Day one will be hands on with instructors and machines reviewing both technique and theory. Day two of the Grooming Track will focus in on machine maintenance, tours of the two shops on site, and snow science.
There will be an additional charge for the PRO ACADEMY sessions and the online course and groomers must register in advance to insure a spot and have time to complete the online course.

There will be a full day of snowmaking programming that will include equipment demos (temps willing), snow science, hands on tours of the two snowmaking systems they have and a tour of the Snow Factory. Special signup required, no additional fee,
PSIA Skiing Improvement Clinics
PSIA will be running a two day skiing improvement clinic for instructors. Both sessions will take place during the morning ski time allowing instructors to participate in the afternoon sessions. The sessions will be led by PSIA National Team Member Emily Lovett and participants will work on their personal skiing as well as work on teaching technique. Tuesday morning will be classic, Wednesday morning will be skate. No additional fee.
As the conference is in an Olympic venue, many opportunities exist to explore the Olympic Legacy that permeates everything in Lake Placid. Scheduled for our group is curling and biathlon, but there are many other opportunities here.
